Conference venue

The conference venue throughout the week will take place at the ETH Hönggerberg, faculty campus located in the north of the city of Zürich.

On the pictures below you can see the entrances to the HPH building (left) as well as the building where the laboratory and welcome reception are located (right)

A welcome reception (Sunday, 16:00) will be held at the Laboratory of Ion Beam Physics.
Monday – Friday, registration is possible from 8:00 to 12:00 in the HPH entrance.
The talks will be held in lecture room G2 in the HPH building, upper floor.
The posters will be presented in the HPH entrance hall.


How to reach the conference location?

A weekly public transport ticket for the city of Zurich is included in the registration fee for the conference participants. This ticket covers Zone 110 of the public transport system. More information and route planning are available here.

From the main station (Zürich HB)

  • Tram no. 11 from “Bahnhofquai/HB” to stop “Bucheggplatz”, change to bus no. 69 to stop “ETH Hönggerberg”.
    Journey time approx. 13 min.
  • Tram no. 10 from “Bahnhofplatz/HB” to “Haldenegg” stop, change to ETH shuttle bus eLink.

From Zurich Airport, railway station

  • S-Bahn line 2 (direction Ziegelbrücke) or line 16 (direction Meilen) to Oerlikon station
  • Change to bus no. 80 (Oerlikon-Nord station, direction Triemlispital) to the “ETH Hönggerberg” stop
  • Journey time approx. 20 minutes

Timetable of the ETH shuttle bus eLink. This service is free to use, and directly connects ETH central campus and ETH Hönggerberg campus.

From the ETH main building, Rämistrasse 101

  • Bus stop ETH shuttle bus eLink in the passageway under the Polyterrasse (floor C) at the ETH main building
  • Mondays to Fridays
  • One intermediate stop at the “Haldenegg” stop
  • Journey time approx. 15 minutes
